The annual ITSF Time Lord Award was created by Charles Curry in 2006 to recognise significant contribution to the timing industry.
The inspiration for creating this award came from attending the Institute of Navigation conference (ION GNSS+) in the USA. This ION GNSS+ annual award known as the “Johannes Kepler Award” is sponsored by the ION Satellite Division to honour an individual for sustained and significant contributions to the development of satellite navigation during their lifetime.
Nominees for the award can be from Industry, Academia, Government and Operators, and be able to demonstrate significant dedication, leadership and innovation in time technology.
